Mayor in the clocktower
The Mayor of the City of Salford, Cllr Roger Lightup visited St Philip's today to go up our Clock Tower and have a look at the view from the roof. It was really nice to see Roger and he enjoyed his visit to some of our more obscure places in the church.

Boating at Heaton Park
On the boating lake at Heaton Park. I like boating. I want a boating lake in Peel Park.
15 today!
My gorgeous daughter Eloise was 15 today and we went to the park for a picnic (her choice of activity). I've posted more photos on picasa at: http://picasaweb.google.com/the.andy.salmon/EloiseSBirthday?feat=directlink.

Laura Marling at the Lowry
Today I was listening to Radcliffe & Maconie's show from Monday (the wonders of BBC iplayer). They had Laura Marling on live and she was very good. This inspired me to ring the Lowry for tickets for her show on April 12th and they only had two left, so I bought them. None left now, so I'm not advertising but I'm possibly gloating. Sorry. But this gives me an excuse to post a photo of Laura playing at Sacred trinity last November.
Wow - newly refurbished classroom at St Phil's
Class 2 has been competely refurbished and this is the wet area, which looks very smart. The children's toilets are very cute. The children will be moving back in very soon and it will be very good and worth the upheaval. Our children deserve a good environment and they certainly get it at St Philip's.

Mother's Day Pudding
This delicious pudding was made by middle daughter, Eloise. Mmmmmmmmmmm. It was really good and it's nice that the kids are old enough now to cook and they're good at it too!

Belly Dancing in St Clement's Church
I think a good time was had by all at tonight's Music evening, raising funds for St Clement's, Ordsall building.

Deanery Barn Dance
A good time was had by all. It's always similar and I've been coming to these things for years but it's always a lot of fun and I'm still rubbish at the dances!
