Lions!

Ok, this isn't my best picture but this was about as good as it got with the Lions. Lots of other animals close but it took ages to get this close to the lions and they really didn't seem very interested in us! Look at my Facebook pages to see more pictures of Knowsley Safari Park.

The safari park experience

Is mainly moving slowly in a traffic jam!

Watch out animals!

The Phil at St Phil's

Some of the BBC Phil playing at church and what a fantastic sound it is. Wonderful that we can listen to musicians like this.

Organ recital at St Phil's

Jonathan Scott plays our historic organ.. Now the organ isn't my favourite instrument but to hear it played by an expert is wonderful.

Panorama from the car park roof

The Lowry Outlet car park has a great view from the roof and this is part of it. I know I do go on about it, but the city is changing all the time. Most of the changes are improvements. Quite a few of them are improvements but could have been a lot better. Sometimes it's a bit of a shame to see some of the old Salford go, but a city never stands still or if it does it dies. A few years ago I visited Venice and hated it. There was lots of lovely architecture but that is a city that has died, there was no life there because it has stagnated.

Media city

Wow. This is the building site that will become media city. Looks big! When you look at it being built like this you realise that it really will have a dramatic affect on the life of the city.
