Progress on the canal

The Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal is being reopened through Salford. This picture shows the progress at Middlewood Locks and it really looks like it's happening.

New entrance

So much more welcoming already and it's not finished yet. Next thing needed is to improve the platforms and the number of trains.

New look station

Long overdue but now Salford Central is beginning to look like a pleasant station to use.

I went to the match tonight and we was robbed! Well i suppose it was quite an even match but mainly i thought West Ham were the better team. Still, at least we now have no distractions from our quest to who the league!
