Martin and Ana

Married in Alaska but back in Manchester for a wedding blessing with friends and family. I was both priest and rabbi on this occasion - a new experience for me!

Large walking bag.

We've got some new bean bags for Trinity. This is one of them going from the school (where I had them delivered) back to ours. The little legs are supplied by Abby.

Stunningly ugly bridge

This is Alderley Edge station with a very poor bridge and an uncared for feel. Sad. I suppose it is good to know that places like Alderley Edge don't get preferential treatment but we badly need a lot of investment in our train stations.

Spooky goings on.

It is Halloween as well as Abby's birthday.

Wild mushrooms

View from Alderley Edge.

Great day out but quite cold.

Elbow with balloons!

Simple enough but very good fun.

Elbow again.

At the Apollo. Lovely gig. Part of their 'lap of honour tour'.

A quiet song

Mind you he already said good night and then surprised us by coming back on...Oh, how we love these little rituals... "This is our last song" (no it isn't).

Feeder at the Apollo

Ok this is becoming a gig blog, but here i am seeing Feeder and they are excellent, as they always are.

British Sea Power at the Ritz

Brilliant in places. Quite mad in a good way. I'd prefer it though if they talked to us a bit more. When they did the sound wasn't very good. Enjoyable gig though.

We've seen the light!

Ting Tings at the Academy

I'm on the guest list which is pretty cool, but they are our very local band. Very Good so far but I'm intrigued by the view from here. You see all these little lights as people record it on their phone to post on youtube!

Labyrinth at St Phil's

One comment from a surprised punter was: 'I feel really chilled. It was good.' We're glad to be of service!

The end

13 hours after leaving Sacred Trinity in the dark, in a mini-bus, we're back. Tired, aching, but feeling good about having done it.

About to enter Salford

Some of these people such as my lovely family have just joined us to walk the last 3 miles or so.

Just crossing M60

Wildlife on the way

MBB canal

At the mo we're alongside the canal. It's beautiful. This is the Manchester, Bolton & Bury Canal, the same one that they're reopening near me, in Middlewood Locks.

In Bury and the sun is out

And so are henry's legs!

Awesome art

Personally, I love this stuff but Henry isn't convinced!

Pause for breath
