We had to say farewell to our year 6 children this week. We had a leavers assembly at school and a leavers service at church. There were a few tears shed but I suppose it is a fact of life that children grow up and move on. Emma Wright, who is a fantastic teacher and has been at the school 10 years is also moving on. She's going to be a deputy head in Warrington and will be missed.

Leavers service
We had to say farewell to our year 6 children this week. We had a leavers assembly at school and a leavers service at church. Visit from Oz
My brother and his girlfriend, Lisa, have been visiting from Australia. It was fantastic to see them. We gave them a bit of local culture - visited the museum of science and industry and had a meal on the curry mile. Can you see any family likeness? I'll give you a clue, my brother Reg is on the right in this picture...
