It's often the little things that get you down.

This is a photo of where my daughter is sure she put her bus pass on Friday. As you can see, it ain't there! We've just spent the last hour looking for it. There have been raised voices and dark accusations. It is still not found. It's not like it's a major tragedy but it is soooooo annoying!

Deb Smith

The new Rector of Wyke Regis cuts the cake at her welcome service in All Saints school. Deb is an excellent priest and a good mate. They're very lucky to have her there in Weymouth

Going, going

Another building bites the dust on Chapel St. In this case it's the rather ugly Stamford House. In it's place I expect we'll get some new apartments. I hope they're good quality ones. I also hope there'll be something useful at the bottom like a bakers or deli! It would also be nice to see the derelict pub next door done up.

Election time

Local elections happen in May and I've been busy delivering leaflets for my friend and fellow councillor, Gina. Not the most glamorous aspect of being on council but it helps to stay in touch and reminds me of the variety and complexites of people. So many different life styles and ways of coping. And we who politically are trying our best to help are so little appreciated!

Peveril Castle

The stunning view from this castle in the Peak District includes Mam Tor, Lose Hill (top missing) and Michaela. It's well worth the entrance fee even though the walk up Mam Tor (also very good) is free!

Bishop Stephen

We had Bishop Stephen with us at Church over Holy Week. He was very much appreciated for his reflections and willingness to have a go - even playing the part of Pontius Pilate for a children's activity afternoon.

New Pets

These are our new pets. The rabbit is called Dandy, which is not a reference to the Dandy Warhols but short for Dandelion. The guinea-pig is called Daffy which is short for daffodil. Eloise & Abby chose the names so don't blame me. They are very cute though.

Easter garden

Sunday 8th April was Easter day and this is the lovely garden that the children made at St Phil's
