Salford Choral Society Carol Concert

A big event every year and nice to see St Phil's so full. Just a shame that with fire exits all unlocked it gets a bit draughty

Canal being reborn

The Manchester, Bolton and Bury canal is being reopened near our house at Middlewood Locks. For ages there seemed to be nothing happening but now it looks quite exciting! Still ages to go yet but it should be nice when it's finished. It does make you wonder why it was filled in. It was the train that did it in at first and then the car and lorry but it will be nice to have the canal back.

Guerilla Gardening 2

Planting flowers where people have dumped their empty bottles!

Guerilla Gardening

On Sunday night I went guerilla gardening in the City centre. It was really cool. We felt very surruptitious and sneaky. We planted several flowers. I was really surprised that there were so few places to plant anything and I was surprised at how many plants there already were.

Anna in the sea

Apparently there is no sea in Hungary, so it was a new treat for Anna to have a paddle in the sea with Eloise and Michaela. She says she enjoyed it, even though it was quite cold!

Leavers service

We had to say farewell to our year 6 children this week. We had a leavers assembly at school and a leavers service at church. There were a few tears shed but I suppose it is a fact of life that children grow up and move on. Emma Wright, who is a fantastic teacher and has been at the school 10 years is also moving on. She's going to be a deputy head in Warrington and will be missed.
