Dodgey bit of cycle route

Not the best bit of route 6. Not easy to cycle on.

Crossing the M60

Back on route 6

Route 6 goes right past our house and so as we joined it in Haslingden it definitely felt like we were on the home stretch. The final count for the journey from my bike computer (that at one stage stopped working whenever I went over 16 miles an hour - not sure why!) was that we did 119 miles over two days and averaged 9.6 mph. My bike computer is definitely a little erratic because is also says that my maximum speed was 126 mph! The other stuff is close to reality but that just isn't.

On our way home now.

Some of these hills hurt!

School singing Refuge.

The official opening of the new art work and there are lots of guests. The kids are singing so beautifully it really does make me cry a little!

BBC Phil at St Phil's again

Various bits of the BBC Phil were in today rehearsing. great sound for the bits I heard. They were in because the Halle wanted the BBC rehearsal space to get ready for their gig with Elbow.

Chandelier at Trinity.

I've just replaced the bulbs and cleaned it up, which I had to do from a rather wobbly bit of box scaffold. Plenty of variety in my job.

A three piece band

Here's another shot of I am Kloot. A thought for Trinity Sunday - is a 3 piece band an illustration of the Trinity? Presumably with an invitation to us to join in on maracas!

I am Kloot

Playing at Blueprint studio. The end of unconvention, which we've been hosting at Sacred Trinity.

Florence & the Machine

The Florence & the Machine gig last night was awesome. They brought a lot of gear in - big PA and two lighting companies but it sounded great and looked great. Florence & the Machine were very good, the support band - Golden Silvers were very good, the crowd were excellent. I'll be posting some more photos on Picasa or Facebook soon.
